Making art is difficult. I definitely overthought some of my requirements for the project compared to a lot of other people's work. I could've toned it down a bit because looking back on it I kinda made some infographics. But without the self-written paragraphs. I'd hoped that the image text would kinda be skipped over. I'm happy I didn't beat any dead horses though. My peers enjoyed it but I mean I went first so I was the first bar. I do feel like my work ended up being on the neutral side just because I don't think anyone got bored out of their mind trying to read all the mini paragraphs. I will say the memes fell kinda flat. I mean memes in themselves are captions of images in some shape or form. I thought they would be nice just to give the eye something to glance at but it ended up being just another thing to squint at to try and understand what is going on. I do feel like some themes went unrecognized or
misinterpreted, in addition to other ones being too far read into that weren't my intention. The only one that I'm willing to point out to preserve my esteemed art prowess; is the grey background behind the circle sheep is literally just because of how our dorm is set up. He's just sitting in front of a grey pushpin board that lines our dorm. It wasn't an artistic choice, but I will say that I made the choice to leave it in, so maybe I have more art ideals instilled in me than I thought. Overall I will say that next time I gotta work on shutting my brain off and just letting it flow out. Not worrying about if my message gets across so much and just letting my work speak for itself. Also watch some more photoshop videos because they definitely started to help out during the end. The new software hump was definitely something I'm still adjusting to, but I feel like in time I'll be able to learn how to better navigate it and create cooler things.
